Job Summary
- We are seeking for a competent and experienced Cold Shear Operator to join our rolling mill operations.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for operating cold shear equipment to cut finished materials to specified lengths while ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate cold shear machines to cut bars/rods according to production requirements
- Set up and adjust shear equipment to achieve correct lengths and clean cuts
- Monitor product quality and report defects or abnormalities
- Perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance
- Ensure adherence to safety procedures and housekeeping standards
- Coordinate with production and quality teams to meet output targets.
Requirements
- SSCE, OND, or equivalent qualification
- Proven experience operating cold shear machinery in a rolling mill environment
- Good understanding of cutting tolerances and quality standards
- Ability to read basic production instructions and measurements
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Willingness to work shifts as required.
