Job Summary
- This firm is seeking a skilled Software Network Operator to manage, monitor, and optimize our network systems.
- The ideal candidate will ensure smooth operation of our ISP infrastructure, troubleshoot network issues, and support both software and hardware components of our network services.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain the company’s network systems to ensure uptime and performance.
- Configure, deploy, and manage network devices and software.
- Troubleshoot network issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Collaborate with software and IT teams to optimize network performance.
- Implement and maintain security protocols for the network.
- Generate reports on network performance, usage, and incidents.
- Assist in deploying software updates and patches across network systems.
- Provide technical support for internal teams and clients as needed.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience as a network operator in an ISP company.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks under pressure.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing/switching.
- Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, PRTG, Zabbix).
- Knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, and cybersecurity fundamentals.
- Familiarity with Linux/Windows server environments.
- Experience with network automation tools (Python, Ansible, or similar) is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of ISP operations is highly preferred.
