Job Title: Partnerships & Growth Lead

Job Summary
- You will own our partnership ecosystem that drives inbound leads while leading the marketing strategy that drives growth across all channels. You will lead our marketing team and work collaboratively with the sales team to ensure deal success.
- We want someone who can negotiate a revenue-share agreement with a microfinance bank partner on Monday, review campaign performance data on Tuesday, and pitch a partnership to a pharmacy chain on Wednesday.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic partnerships:
- Own the full partnership lifecycle: identify, pitch, negotiate, close, and manage agreements
- Structure partnership terms, revenue share, referral fees, co-marketing commitments, and exclusivity where applicable
- Build and manage a pipeline of institutional partners nationwide
- Lead fintech and mobile money integrations (eg. Opay, Moniepoint, PalmPay, MTN) that embed solar financing into their customer journeys
- Develop co-branded programmes with microfinance banks and cooperatives to deliver pre-approved solar loan products to their members
Marketing strategy & oversight:
- Own the overall marketing strategy and budget allocation, working with leadership to set quarterly priorities
- Lead campaign planning for key moments: seasonal pushes, partnership announcements
- Oversee brand positioning and messaging, ensure all external communication reflects the company's voice and value proposition
- Use performance data to make channel investment decisions
- Define product positioning, value propositions, and messaging that resonate with our target audience.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities and emerging trends.
- Plan and execute PR campaigns, build media relationships, and manage public relations efforts.
Growth & market development:
- Identify and size new market segments, geographies, or customer verticals worth pursuing
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
- Represent the company at industry events, trade fairs, and government forums
- Feed market intelligence back into product and pricing decisions
Requirements
Must-haves:
- 4+ years of experience across marketing, partnerships, and/or business development - ideally in solar, energy, fintech, telecoms, or infrastructure
- A track record of closing and managing commercial partnerships or B2B deals with measurable revenue outcomes
- Strong existing network of relevant contacts: corporate procurement teams, fintech business development leads, estate developers, or institutional buyers
- Confident communicator at senior levels, boardrooms, government offices, and community halls alike
- Based in Lagos, with a willingness to travel to other states
Strong advantage if you have:
- Direct experience in the Nigerian solar or off-grid energy sector
- Experience managing a small team or directing external specialists
- Familiarity with CRM tools, pipeline management, and marketing analytics platforms
