Job Title: Junior Strategic Information / Health Informatics Consultant

Location: Abuja (FCT),  Nigeria

Description

  • We are seeking skilled, innovative, and self-driven professionals with demonstrated experience in strategic Information, health informatics and digital health systems.
  • Ideal candidates will bring expertise in data management, health information systems, digital solutions for service delivery, and the use of data to support decision-making within clinical and public health programs.

  • We are looking for reliable professionals who are adaptable, detail-oriented, and able to contribute effectively in dynamic program environments. Individuals who can support the design, implementation, and optimization of health information systems, while ensuring data quality, integrity, and use, are highly encouraged to apply.
  • As part of our expanding program portfolio, we are engaging a pool of technical experts across key health informatics areas.
  • We are particularly interested in professionals with experience in areas such as:
    • Health Management Information Systems (HMIS), DHIS2, and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) 
    • Strategic Information systems including data collection, validation, analysis, and reporting 
    • Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) frameworks and performance tracking 
    • Data analytics, visualization, and dashboard development for decision-making 
    • Data quality assurance (DQA), data audits, and supportive supervision 
    • nteroperability and digital health solutions 
    • Use of data for program improvement, forecasting, and resource optimization
  • This engagement will support strategic initiatives, proposal development, system optimization, and data-driven program delivery.
  • Qualified experts are invited to submit their profiles, clearly indicating their areas of specialization and relevant experience

Qualifications and Experience

  • HND or University Degree Computer Science, Information System or a related field
  • A minimum 4 years’ experience Local or International NGOs; preferably in Care and treatment
  • Experience with use, deployment and EMR management
  • Knowledge of Access or other programming language a plus
  • Ability to troubleshoot and run database queries
  • Ability to work under pressure cooperatively as a member of a team
  • Ability to analyze and interpret large amount of data and produce information
  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skill.
  • Ability to lead teams and promote cross learning 
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and make reasoned judgments in a timely fashion. Committing to a course of action without undue delay or prevarication 
  • Willingness to work under challenging environments and difficult terrains.
