We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Painter
Location: Benin, Edo
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Summary
- The Painter is responsible for applying paint, varnish, and other finishes to buildings, structures, and surfaces to protect them and improve their appearance.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, scraping, or filling holes and cracks
- Mix paints and select appropriate materials and finishes
- Apply paint, varnish, or other coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
- Ensure even coverage and smooth finishing on all surfaces
- Carry out minor repairs on walls and surfaces before painting
- Protect surrounding areas from paint splashes and damage
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
- Inspect completed work for quality and touch up where necessary
Requirements
Experience
- 1–3 years of practical experience as a painter or in a similar role preferred
- Experience in construction or maintenance work is an advantage
Other Requirements
- Physically fit and able to perform manual work
- Willingness to work indoors and outdoors in different conditions
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Strong sense of safety awareness
Skills:
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
- Knowledge of painting tools and techniques
- Ability to mix and match colors accurately
- Physical stamina and ability to work at heights when required
- Time management and ability to meet deadlines
- Basic knowledge of safety procedures
